Where little ones find their rhythm
Infant & Toddler Jam brings a live band, real instruments sized for small hands, and musical puppet-show storytelling to families across the Bronx, no experience needed, just a grown-up and a child ready to make some sounds.
Sliding Scale tuition available • Caregiver Participation Required • Siblings welcome
Four things happen at every Jam.
No two families move through a session the same way, but the ingredients are always the same.
Live music, made for little ears.
Our in-house musicians play folk songs, sing-alongs, and lullaby-tempo favorites, arranged and paced for babies and toddlers rather than borrowed from an adult set list.

Instruments in every hand.
Shakers, hand drums, bells, and ribbon wands, all sized for small hands, so children join the song instead of just watching it happen in front of them.

A puppet story with a real lesson.
Each session closes with a musical puppet show. Characters sing their way through ideas like sharing, patience, and trying something new, with big feelings told small.

Grown-ups and baby, side by side.
Every activity is built for a caregiver and child to do together. There's no drop-off and no separation, just shared time and something to talk about on the way home.

Inside a 45-minute session.
The class stays the same shape each week, so children know what's coming, even before they have the words for it.

Sing & Shake
The live band plays, instruments go out to every child, and movement is welcomed and encouraged.
Puppet Show
A musical puppet story unfolds, built around a gentle, real-life lesson for little listeners.
Warm Welcome
A hello song and circle time while everyone settles in and gets comfortable on the floor.
Wind Down & Connect
A slow song, some stretching. A goodbye ritual, and time to chat with other families in the room.
What a first visit actually feels like.
Most of what parents worry about beforehand turns out to be exactly what happens in every room full of small children, and none of it gets in the way.
You'll walk into a room that's already warm and a little loud. The band tuning up, a few families already sitting on the floor or in chairs, someone's toddler already testing out a shaker before class officially starts. Nobody's watching to see if you're doing it "right." You sit down, you get handed an instrument, and the song just starts.
Our instructor works with the age group every week, so the room is built around what's actually true about babies and toddlers: short attention spans, big feelings, and no interest in sitting still. Floors are soft, group sizes stay small, and the pace of the class is set by the children in it, not the other way around.

All of this is normal here
Crying during the puppet show
A toddler who wanders off mid-song
A baby who falls asleep five minutes in
A preschooler who only watches and never joins in
Needing to step out and come back
Built to flex across ages.
Every activity has room to move up or down, so siblings at different stages can be in the same room, doing the same song, in their own way.
Infants • 0-12 months
Rhythm and sound experienced from the safety of a caregiver's lap, rocking, gentle bounces, and close-up sound.

Toddlers • 1-2 years
Movement, first instrument play, and the earliest words show up inside a song before they show up in conversation.
Following the puppet story, taking turns with instruments, and starting to lead a verse instead of just joining one.
Preschoolers • 3-5 years

”My son used to melt down in any group setting. Ten minutes into his first Jam, he was shaking a tambourine like it was nothing.”
- A Baychester parent

”I came in exhausted and left having actually played and laughed with my toddler, instead of just supervising him from the side.”
- A first-time dad
”The puppet show is the only part of our week where my daughter sits completely still. She talks about the puppets for days after.”
- A Wakefield parent
